The timeline

What it is

A CRM-style activity log, on every contact and every company: notes you type by hand ("called today, booked a meeting for the 20th"), interleaved with the mail that actually went out and came back — newest first. Nothing in it is sent anywhere or read by an agent; it's your own record.

Where it lives

  • A contact's own page: notes and every mail either way, merged into one feed.
  • A company's own page: the company's own notes — a company has no mail of its own, only the people at it do.
  • The inbox, in a side panel next to the message thread, so a call logged mid-conversation needs no context switch.

Adding or removing a note in any one of these updates the others immediately — it's the same timeline everywhere.

Reading a long entry

Every entry is truncated to a couple of lines by default. Click it to read the whole thing; click again to collapse it back.

Ask Evie instead

Anything you'd type into the timeline by hand, Evie can do from chat too: "log that I called Acme today and they want a demo next week," or "what's in Sofia's timeline?" Evie can read a contact's or a company's timeline, add a note to either, and remove one — same as clicking through the page yourself, no approval needed since nothing is sent or spent.
